Baby Room
In the baby room we understand that starting nursery is a big step for you and your baby. We highly value the importance of ensuring that your child feels safe and secure at nursery, we therefore take measures to aid the "settling in" process. One way in which we do this is by offering "settling in sessions" which you and your baby can attend before your baby is due to start at nursery. Settling in sessions are a great time for children to become familiar with the nursery environment and also gives parents the opportunity to gather as much information as they would like to know about our nursery and the baby unit. Settling in sessions provide a time for your baby and the staff in the room to build a bond with one another. This helps to make the transition to nursery smooth and swift. We believe that if your child is settled at nursery then they can get the most out of their time at Nursery.
In the Baby Room there is no strict daily routine. We will cater for your child's needs so will therefore follow a routine that has already been established at home, if this is that benefits your baby the most. Within the baby unit there is a designated Sleep Room where babies can sleep during the day. This is linked to the main room with a monitor. Alternatively, the Baby Room has many comfortable areas with blankets and pillows where babies can sleep or rest.
Our Nursery's Baby Rooms values the importance of parent feedback at the end of each session at Nursery. Nursery practitioners take the time to give detailed verbal feedback the end of a session and also record information including feeding patterns, sleep times and nappy changes in a daily diary.
Our overall aim in the baby room is to provide a safe, stimulating environment where babies thrive in the care of dedication and nurturing practitioners.
