Toddler Room
The ‘Toddler Room’ caters for children aged 12 months to two years old. The toddlers are assigned a key worker who is responsible for your child’s day to day welfare and well being. Your child’s key worker will help your child settle into nursery and ensure that their learning journey and weekly diary are kept up to date, with the exciting activities and experiences that happen at nursery each day. Key workers are also there to offer help and advice to parents when required.
The ‘Toddler Rooms’ are divided into two areas. One area incorporates all the messy play such as arts and crafts, water play, malleable play, plus many more fun activities. The other area offers quieter activities such as construction, cosy area, sensory area and a toddler gym.
The children are encouraged to make their own choices throughout the day and also take part in adult led activities. The nursery practitioners set up the room, in a way that aims for the children’s development to take place through their natural curiosity. The rooms are open plan so the children have access to toys of their choice. The rooms have easy access to bathroom facilities to support your child’s potty training.
